What we do

At the heart of your service we offer Home Visiting family support. Providing one to one, practical and emotional support to families. All of our services are tailored to each family’s individual needs and are focused on enabling families to succeed. We also run Group work. These sessions helping to reduce isolation, increase bonds between parents and their children and give families access to a support network that may be missing.

We also run specialist groups including SEND and Perinatal.

There are a variety of needs for those families who access our services. Sometimes parents don’t feel like they can leave the house or may be struggling with financial and mental health challenges which can all lead to families in need of help. After support from Families Together Suffolk families say they feel more confident in their own abilities, have greater self-esteem and feel like they’re better equipped to be the best version of themselves.

Local families deserve to have access to all the resources so they can provide a solid foundation for their children’s development, we want to help enable that future.
We want to see every family in our community realise their full potential and be empowered to make this happen.
Ultimately, we want to develop a community that helps and supports each other.

What makes us different?

We have been supporting families in Suffolk for over 40 years and we are led by the needs of the families, we are not led by funding. If the needs of supported families changes, we adapt to make sure that we can meet these needs. We’re a local charity, for local people. We’re not a national or large corporate charity, we really understand the challenges that people in our local community face. Often, members of Families Together Suffolk team have faced the same challenges.

We operate across the whole of Suffolk and have specialist within the team. This means we can get the right people paired up with the families that require specific support. We are proud that anyone can refer to our service. Referrals can come from professionals and families can self-refer too. We’re open to everyone that needs our support. Together we can bring community back to the heart of parenting.
